My Favorite Spiritual Tools

There are a lot of different spiritual and wellness tools out there and it can be easy to get overwhelmed and constantly be searching for the latest and greatest thing. I have tried a lot of different modalities and tools and below are some of my favorites that I think anyone can benefit from and will help you to create and live the life you want.

Three things that I think are important to recognize and are central to how I work with these tools:

  1. These are all things that are meant to help you live your life. You don’t want to be meditating for hours a day or overthinking every little decision - and I definitely do not want that for you either. I believe every tool should be practical and work for your benefit to help you live your life better.

  2. You can be a little skeptical, you can not understand how it works, but you do have to be at least a little open to the possibility that it will work and be willing to try. Slightly skeptical people can be some of my favorite people to work with. But again, you do have to be open to the possibilities.

  3. Just as one nutrition plan won’t work for every single person, there is no set wellness or spiritual program that is going to work for everyone. It needs to be customized to where you are at and what you want. Use your judgment and take what resonates and leave the rest.

Also if any of the below piques your interest, keep an eye out - I will be coming out with a special offering next week that I am very excited to share with you all!

Meditation. You probably knew that this was going to be on here and if I could recommend just one thing for everyone, this would be it. There are so many different types out there so I am confident you can find one that works for you. Experiment and start small. Meditation is critical for getting some distance and quiet time and has a long list of benefits - increasing self-awareness, focusing on the present, increasing patience, managing stress, and gaining a new perspective on situations (to name a few). If you do not already have a meditation practice, what are you waiting for?

Future Self. Once I learned about this technique, it became an integral part of my routine. How often do you think about what you really want? Thinking about your future self allows you to imagine what you want to create and the life you want to live. It gives you the time and space to forget what you should do or what others want and feel into what you want. And most importantly, it allows you to take action from that space and move towards that version of you.

Breathwork. I have a real love/hate relationship with breathwork. I usually do not want to do it, but every time I do, I feel amazing afterwards and think, oh I need to do this more. There are a lot of different types of breathwork and I highly recommend that you work with someone if you have never done it before. But it can be transformative. It is a powerful practice that helps release stuck energy and blocks and will leave you feeling clear, focused, and more in tune with yourself.

Energy Healing. Energy healing can include reiki and it is an ancient healing technique that helps to activate the body’s natural healing energies. Anyone can benefit from an energy session. It will often be combined with meditation or breathwork and can also help you clear blocks and stuck energy. An energy healing session will leave you feeling light, at ease, and peaceful.

Human Design. One of my favorite systems to help you understand yourself better, human design is a practical tool that provides you with a roadmap for how you best operate in the world. It combines a number of different systems and is based on your birth time and location. Human design is based on the premise that we are not all meant to operate in the same way and by staying true to ourselves, we will more easily live the life we want. I found it to be so accurate and helpful that I had to learn more and become a reader.

Food & Movement. Of course, I couldn’t leave out nutrition and movement. It is hard to feel good in your body if you are not eating in a nourishing way and moving your body, and it is hard to connect to your future self or meditate if you do not feel good in your body. Everything is connected and the reason that we take a holistic view to health and wellness. Working on one area or implementing one tool, will help you in all areas of your life.
